Futures in Mind – a company founded on a passion and commitment for applying psychology to make a positive difference to children and young people’s lives.

It began with a simple observation. We know that children and young people learn better and are happier in school when their emotional needs are met. As a team with over 25 years of combined experience as classroom teachers and educational psychologists this something that we appreciate and understand. So, drawing on this observation, I wanted to create company, a service, whose vision was to promote this emotional growth. To achieve this, I have designed an approach that uses our extensive knowledge, skills and passion for supporting the learning and development of children and young people. To summarise, we are committed to ensuring that children and young people and those who support them can achieve and lead emotionally healthy lives.

We value and recognise the important role schools play in shaping the lives of children and young people. This is based on our years of working in schools, with hundreds of children and young people, their families and educational professionals . Fostering positive relationships, valuing difference and promoting the ideals of inclusion, acceptance and belonging is core to our practice.

To this end, Futures in Mind is committed to supporting schools and organisations in developing emotionally healthy environments where children, young people and adults can flourish.

We do this by:

  • Providing high quality training programmes to professionals, drawing on the latest research and approaches, that are interactive and provide participants with in-depth knowledge, skills and confidence.
  • Working with children and young people, especially where concerns exist regarding social and emotional wellbeing.
  • Providing bespoke consultancy services to schools and organisations that are seeking to promote and embed cultures that enhance social and emotional wellbeing. To facilitate this, we adopt an approach that is based on working collaboratively, tailoring our service to meet your needs. This is founded on the strongly held belief that developing collaborative learning partnerships is the best way of affecting, promoting and maximising positive change.
